Branson-Florida-Bombshell

Oct 17 | Posted by: Bill Whyte |

Up and ready to road trip roll again this Thursday morning.

I’m headed for Port St. Joe, Florida this morning and that’s a good 7 hour trip for sure from Music City.  So I’m throwing bags in with Steve Dean, and Victoria Venier and we’re southbound for the beach.

The complete schedule and list of all of the great songwriters playing there are available here at the festival website.

We have three shows, one on Friday, another Saturday and a final show at 1 pm Sunday before heading home.  It will be interesting to see how Port St. Joe and neighboring Mexico Beach has recovered after a devastating hurricane there a year ago that flattened a lot of the places we used to play, hotels, you name it.  It’s a gorgeous part of Florida…small town…kind of old Florida if you will and this is one of our favorite festivals to play.

WHO KNEW?

Now some folks in the know (whoever they are) claim that picky eating might actually be a serious disorder.  So for those of you who have thought for years that I’m not quite right?  Now you know the reason.

I’ve always vowed that if I ever opened a restaurant I would name it PLAIN.  You can add whatever you want yourself but it’s coming out of the kitchen plain.

BOMBSHELL

The first full-length trailer is out for the movie “Bombshell” that’s all about the Fox New Channel and Megyn Kelly that features three superstars.  Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie.  Oscar buzz has already started and the new Trailer may explain why.

RUBIK

Nope…not once have I ever been able to figure out the Rubik’s Cube.  For that matter, I’ve never figured out why women stack so many dang pillows on a bed.  But that’s for another day.

Turns out this robot could teach itself how to quickly solve the Rubik’s cube thing.  Take a LOOK.

OFF TO THE BEACH

We’ll see some old friends again in Port St. Joe that we’ve made through the years and welcome some new folks to the Blast On The Bay Festival too. A great couple that toured both Italy and the Rhine River with my wife and me over the last couple of years have made the trip all the way from Texas after the festival piqued their interest. So it will be great spending some time with them too.

Time to hit the road again.

Have a great Thursday!
